What Veillea covers for Gatineau, honestly
Veillea covers the Outaouais through SEAO and CanadaBuys:
- SEAO: municipalities must publish their public calls for tenders there (open procedure mandatory at $139,000 and up until December 31, 2027). Departments, agencies, school service centres, health institutions and other public bodies also publish their public tenders there.
- CanadaBuys: federal tenders, including those delivered in the region.
What Veillea doesn't cover yet: the City of Gatineau's own website and other municipal sites (municipal-site monitoring is in development, starting with Montréal), and below-threshold contracts awarded by invitation or directly, which aren't necessarily published.
Ontario-side tenders (Ottawa) aren't covered today: the Ontario portal is in development. Federal tenders are covered through CanadaBuys.
Filter by region
In your profile, select the Outaouais (and nearby regions you serve). SEAO notices list their delivery regions; you can filter by region, source, category or date.
How Veillea helps
- Create a profile: keywords in English and French, categories (UNSPSC/GSIN), regions. Multiple profiles for multiple lines of business.
- Veillea collects and matches SEAO and CanadaBuys notices every day, in both languages.
- Decide fast: notices ranked by relevance, EN/FR summary (scope, buyer, deadline), deadline badges, filters by source, category, region or date.
Coverage: SEAO (Québec) and CanadaBuys (federal) live. MERX, Bids&Tenders, municipal sites (Montréal first) and the Ontario portal in development, included at no extra cost when they launch.

Real-time = as soon as the source publishes (CanadaBuys: every 2 hours; SEAO: as open data updates). 14-day trial on paid plans, no credit card. For comparison, SEAO's own matching alerts cost $6.95/month per Specialist user plus $0.35 per notice (SEAO fee schedule, checked October 12, 2026).
Veillea does not replace registering on SEAO, CanadaBuys or a buyer's portal: to get documents and bid, you still use the official platform. Summaries help you triage; the official notice always prevails.
Frequently asked questions
Does Veillea cover City of Gatineau tenders?
Yes, those published on SEAO, where municipalities must post their public calls for tenders. The city's own website isn't monitored directly; municipal sites are in development.
Which sources cover the Outaouais?
SEAO (Québec public bodies and municipalities) and CanadaBuys (federal).
What value requires a Québec municipality to publish a tender?
Until December 31, 2027, an open procedure is mandatory at $139,000 and up. Between $25,000 and that threshold, a written invitation generally applies and the notice isn't necessarily published.
Can I read French notices from the region in English?
Yes. Paid plans include an English and French summary of every notice; the official notice always prevails.
How much does Veillea cost?
Free for SEAO (weekly); Solo $29/month, Team $69/month, Enterprise $199/month, flat with no per-notice fees, plus taxes.
