MERX alternative: when Veillea fits better (and when it doesn't)
MERX is a well-established Canadian platform for public and private tenders, with document downloads and electronic bid submission. Veillea does something different: Québec-first monitoring of SEAO and CanadaBuys, with ranked notices and bilingual summaries.

Which to choose?
- MERX if the buyers you target post on MERX, or you want private construction leads.
- Veillea if your buyers are mostly on SEAO and federal, and you want fast triage in English and French.
- Both: Veillea's MERX coverage is in development; until then, many firms use both.
Veillea does not replace registering on SEAO, CanadaBuys or a buyer's portal: to get documents and bid, you still use the official platform. Summaries help you triage; the official notice always prevails.
